Presented by:

I'm a university Director of Information Technology at a small institution in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I've been a user of Linux based operating systems since purchasing Slackware in the early 90's. I've survived the transition from Redhat to Fedora, from Debian to Ubuntu, from Arch to a complete lack of sanity and back to Fedora.

Other than that, I'm an avid runner and spend some time volunteering for faith based socially focused charities.

In this talk, we'll review on the options to install and maintain Moodle for your educational institution. We'll talk through installation, integration with LDAP servers for both users and for class creation, and continued maintenance of Moodle. Finally we'll talk through our process of educating the educators on the use Moodle.

I would encourage those who have experience with Moodle to come and share your experiences with Moodle so we can share best practices with the audience.
