Sarterus Rowe is a professor and techie working at Northwest Justice Project, managing the National Technology Assistance Project and teaching at the University of Washington and Seattle University. He is also a former Chairman of the Board for Washington Lawyers for the Arts. Sart teaches as an adjunct in the areas of Privacy law, Ethics, Copyright and Information Policy.

Sart has worked for Creative Commons, Public Knowledge, the Washington State Access to Justice Board, Microsoft, Wizards of the Coast, and Disability Rights Washington. He is also a social media expert with a modest YouTube following.

Sart has a background in Information technology and law. Sart holds a B.S. in Informatics and a B.A. in Political Science, both for the university of Washington and a J.D. for Seattle University. And was the winner of the 2009 WSBA IP Section Scholarship Award and a Google Public Policy Fellowship.

Seth Schoen is a Senior Staff Technologist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco, where he has worked for over 18 years. As the first Staff Technologist at EFF, Seth has helped attorneys and the public understand technology as it relates to litigation and public policy. He has published research on computer forensics, exposed Internet service provider misbehavior, and developed privacy software. He has testified before three Federal regulatory agencies and in several courts, trained judges in Latin America, and spoken in more than 10 countries.

Seth has been a speaker at several previous editions of LinuxFest Northwest.

As in previous LFNW events, a panel of open source advocates will talk about the past year's important events in online civil liberties, and answer your questions.
