An Introduction to Vagrant and Deploying Machines
When I first learned about Vagrant it became an essential tool in my learning and training journey. It made it extremely simple to spin up a server and just test things out.
In this tutorial aimed at beginner to intermediate users we will go through initial setup of using Vagrant with Virtualbox making sure along the way the terminology is understood.
Once we’ve established a base we can dive in to some deeper topics including:
- Deploying Multiple Machines in a Single Vagrantfile
- Configuring Multiple Networks and Virtual Disks
- Deploying Machines to Different Cloud Providers
- Using Ansible to Configure the Machines Post Deployment
- Sharing your Vagrant Environment
Links to resources and examples will be provided as part of this tutorial. The attendee will walk away the material to take actionable next steps.
